The NBA Basketball School in Dubai had an amazing experience at NBA Week in Abu Dhabi in October.  Our players, coaches, and parents took part in several incredible, exclusive events as a part of the games between the Timberwolves and the Mavericks.  Our 14U Boys and Girls Elite teams participated in the first annual NBA School tournament, which featured NBA School teams from Australia, Brazil, Lebanon, and Kuwait.  Our girls team advanced to the final game, losing a close contest to Australia at NYU in Abu Dhabi.

Our players also took part in exclusive Coaching clinics put on by the coaching staff’s of the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves – acting as demonstrators for the event. Several of our other players acted as Ballkids during the actual NBA games, a truly unforgettable experience.  ‘Being on the floor with the players…incredible!,’ commented NBA Basketball School player Sofia Taha.

As if that wasn’t enough, 35 of our players were invited to an exclusive clinic with the players of the Dallas Mavericks.  They did drills and interacted with some of the greatest players in the game, including Luka Doncic and Kryie Irving.  ‘My dreams have truly come true!,’ exclaimed NBA Basketball School player Mustapha Kalo.

NBA Week presents a truly unique, exclusive experience for the players in our school. We look forward to another exciting week next year!
