On Wednesday, October 5th, our entire program (parents included!) had the unbelievable privilege to meet and listen to the wise words of Shaquille O’Neal and the Commissioner of the NBA, Adam Silver. In this exclusive event for the NBA Basketball School, some lucky players had the chance to go up and ask Shaq and Mr. Silver questions they had, and listen to their thoughtful and poignant responses. After the Q & A, Shaq walked from basket to basket and interacted with our players, and also took pictures with each team.
Once Shaq and Adam Silver left, our players continued to practice until the mascots from the Hawks and the Bucks showed up…They were quite literally, show stoppers. Our kids had a great time dancing, and taking selfies with the hilarious mascots and some even had the chance to win tickets to the Thursday night game. It was an unforgettable event and a memory maker for all the families in our program.
