Congratulations to the u18 NBA Basketball School Girl’s team for winning the Federation League! For the first time in our program’s history, our girls had the opportunity to play in a competitive, external league against other club and local teams from around the UAE. Our girls did a fantastic job of showing up every weekend and playing as a team. The squad was led by two fantastic, young leaders, Anja Obradovic and Thea Awad. Both of these girls contributed on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor, leading by example with fantastic communications skills, a competitive mindset, and a willingness to sacrifice for their team.

Not only did the girls win the entire league, they went UNDEFEATED!!! The final game was a great match up against Sharjah Women’s Club, where our girls played in front of a packed gym with everyone cheering their very loudest. We could not be more proud of the girls for their determination and drive to win. We also are so excited for all that is to come for all of them; we have no doubt that this is just the beginning for these girls and they are ready for any challenge that comes their way!
