The NBA Basketball School’s annual Developmental League tipped off play in October – with over 300 players registered to play on 34 teams in 8 different divisions. The league, which is offered in each of the NBA’s 3 Terms of play, is available for NBA School Players only.  Teams are made in a draft style format and each league lasts 8 weeks in duration.  ‘Our internal league is really the foundation of our entire NBA School program.  Our players have a great chance to really get to know each other and play in an organized and fun environment.’ Commented Technical Director Phil Galvin.  

As a part of playing in the league, each player also gets a new NBA School uniform in the exact style and colorway of their real NBA uniform.  For instance, a player that is drafted onto the Golden State Warriors plays in a uniform that is an exact replica of the Golden State uniform. ‘The jerseys really add an element to our league that is hard to describe.  The excitement the kids have for wearing their favorite NBA team uniform is amazing,’ commented league director Katie Batlin.
